Musical Angels, the nonprofit that brings music lessons to hospitalized children, is looking to raise $10,000 for new instruments. To help get the organization on its way, Dr. Gustavo Tolosa, the founder of Musical Angels, has enlisted the help of his daughter, Elena, and her tasty cupcakes.
On July 14 at 5 p.m., head over to the Blue Room at the South Side on Lamar for the third annual Cupcake Gala benefiting Musical Angels. The benefit will feature special flavors of the Cupcake Queen's confections just for the gala, including "Angel's Kiss," "Sunny Explosion," "Coffeelicious," "Summer Fun," and "The Dark Side."
Admission to the gala is free, but donations will be collected to purchase musical instruments and teaching materials.
Patrons can also enjoy live music performances from Musical Angels Ambassadors, create "get well" cards for hospitalized children, and play games and win door prizes.
Parking is free across the street at the Cedars Social. For more information, visit the Musical Angels website.
