Park Cities Mom Launches Tiny Bee Gift Co. Just In Time For The Holidays

Tiny Bee Gift Co., a new social enterprise that provides personalized gift options for babies and children while simultaneously reinforcing the importance of giving back, launched this month, just in time for holiday giving.

At tinybeegifts.com, a gift giver can purchase popular, classic and age-appropriate books for their favorite 0-7 year olds. For each book purchased, Tiny Bee donates a second book of equal value to the gift giver’s school library of choice or a school library in need.

Founded by Amy Bean, mother of three and Harvard grad, Tiny Bee was born out of Amy’s desire to not only give a special gift to an honoree, but to simultaneously give to other children who might need it more.

“While my three little boys have been busy growing up, so have the mounds of stuff around our house. Between Christmas, birthdays and other special days, my kids have a lot of toys!” shared Tiny Bee founder, Amy Bean. “Our Gift One. Give One. mantra was born from my interest in philanthropy and simplicity. Rather than treating gift giving and donating to a cause as two separate occasions, I founded Tiny Bee, which provides a unique solution to wrap both acts into one simple purchase.”

Tiny Bee strives to make birthdays and holidays fun for children, while also teaching a valuable lesson about giving to others. In just one gift, a purchaser can encourage literacy, make a special person smile, enhance libraries for hundreds of other children and teach kids about giving back. “My hope is that Tiny Bee might help to usher in a bit of simplicity and philanthropy in our kids’ lives and add to their holiday joy.”
