The Academic Success program reinforces and enhances the skills and knowledge that young people learn at school. The success of this program has been exceptional. The 2012-2013 school year resulted in 98 percent of all BGCD youth progressing to the next grade level and 69 percent maintained an A/B grade average. Individuals with below a B grade received Sylvan Tutoring.

Collegiate STEPS prepares high school students for higher education and is also producing extraordinary results. BGCD partners with the Junior League of Dallas, which provides a comprehensive program for students to complete the required applications for admission and scholarships.
