The countdown is on for a fun, family Halloween! We love Halloween and are so excited to dress up and celebrate. But before we do, we are making Halloween treats! Today on Family Food Live, I showed you 5 Sweet Treats for Halloween!

Shopping List:

  • Pretzels
  • 1 cup White Chocolate Chips, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon Coconut Oil
  • Candy Eyeballs or chocolate chips

Instructions:

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a Silpat mat
  • Melt the White chocolate chips in the microwave for 1 minute, check and do another 30 seconds if needed
  • Add the coconut oil to the chocolate to thin it out
  • Dip pretzels in chocolate and lay flat on parchment paper
  • Immediately add eyes or chocolate chips to the pretzels
  • Repeat until you have the baking sheet filled up
  • Put in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden

Gooey Green Slime Drinks

Shopping List:

  • Gatorade Lime Powder (follow instructions for a pitcher)
  • Green Apple Ice Cream
  • Gummy Worms

Instructions:

  • Follow instructions to make the Gatorade (Kool Aid works too)
  • Scoop ice cream into your Halloween cup and pour the Gatorade on top
  • Add gummy worms for decoration

Mummy Brownies

Shopping List:

  • Box of Brownie Mix (follow instructions to prepare the Brownies)
  • White Decorating Icing
  • Candy eyeballs or chocolate chips

Instructions:

  • Follow instructions in making your brownies, bake and cut into squares
  • Using the white decorating icing, decorate the brownies so it looks like a mummy
  • Top with eyeballs or chocolate chips
  • Put in the refrigerator so the icing can set

Peanut Butter Spider Cookies

Shopping List:

  • 1 package Peanut Butter Cookie Mix (will also need vegetable oil, water and egg for recipe)
  • Reese’s miniature rounds
  • Black Licorice
  • White decorating icing
  • Candy eyeballs or M&Ms

Instructions:

  • Follow instructions to prepare Peanut Butter cookies
  • Shape into a 1-inch ball and place on cookie sheet
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes or until light golden brown
  • Immediately put the Reese’s miniature round in the center of the cookie
  • Cut licorice into 2-inch pieces for legs
  • Use the white decorating icing to attach the eyeballs or M&Ms

Ghost Cupcakes

Shopping List:

  • 1 box Chocolate Cake Mix to make cupcakes (will also need vegetable oil, 3 eggs and water for this recipe)
  • Large Marshmallows
  • 2 cups White Chocolate Chips, melted
  • 1 cup Miniature Chocolate Chips

Instructions:

  • Follow directions to prepare the cupcakes
  • Let cool for 10 minutes
  • Microwave the white chocolate chips for 1 minute, check and if needed heat up in 30-second intervals
  • Place a marshmallow on top of each cupcake
  • Spoon melted white chocolate over the marshmallows
  • Add the chocolate chips as eyes on the ghost
  • Let set for 15 minutes
