Cinnamon Stick and Felt Pumpkin Ornaments are a sweet DIY gift for neighbors, teachers, or friends. Children can pair this ornament with homemade pumpkin muffins, pumpkin cookies, or a Jack O’Lantern Treat Bucket.
Cinnamon Stick and Felt Pumpkin Ornament
To make this simple and adorable craft you will need:
- Felt
- Cinnamon sticks
- Green pipe cleaners
- Hot glue or Glue Dots
- Ribbon
After gathering supplies, cut out a pumpkin shape onto the felt. If desired, sketch it first onto a piece of card stock to make a pattern to trace.
Next, use a serrated knife to gently “saw” cinnamon sticks into thirds. After making several cuts, you should be able to simply snap it.
Last, cut a green pipe cleaner in half. Twist both halves around our fingertip to create vines for the pumpkin ornament.
Attach all the pieces of the pumpkin to the felt with hot glue or Glue Dots. Last, glue a loop of ribbon to the back of the ornament.
