National Park & Rec Month at Wylie Recreation Center

July is National Park and Rec Month, and many great kids’ activities are still ahead at Wylie Recreation Center. Here are a few … check them all out at WylieTexas.gov/Recreation!

Crafty Tuesdays – Spark ingenuity and create new crafts each Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. This is a come-and-go activity for age 7 and up.

Gym Games – Discover a variety of fun and entertaining sports, games, and activities from 12:15 to 2 p.m., age 7 – 14. July 16, Pac Man; July 17, Floor is Lava; July 18, Tic Tac Toe Relays; July 30, Ultimate Frisbee; and July 31, Human Foosball.

Lego Grand Prix – Race to the finish. Choose from thousands of Legos to build your race car. Compete with friends to see who is crowned the fastest. July 12, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., age 7 – 14.

Trivia Night – Think you know a little bit about everything? Work with friends to answer questions on the big screen about pop culture, history, sports, science, and more. July 18, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., for age 7 and up.

Hat Décor and Horse Races – And they’re off! Decorate a derby-style hat and compete in the inflatable horse race. July 19, from 2 to 6 p.m., age 7 and up.

Net Ball – Attack, shoot, score! Try a new, exciting and fast-paced skilled sport with friends. July 23, from 3 to 5 p.m., age 7 – 14.

Wrecking Ball – Knock your opponent off an inflatable pedestal and be the last one standing. July 24, 3 to 6 p.m., age 7 and older.

Blindfold Challenge – Utilize sense of touch and sound while rock climbing and try other sensory activities blindfolded. July 25 from noon to 2 p.m. Age 7 – 14.
