Prestonwood Christian Academy (PCA) is pleased to announce the recent hiring of Donna Gilson Leadford as the inaugural Principal of Prestonwood Christian Academy North. Mrs. Gilson Leadford will provide leadership and oversight for the new campus opening in August 2014 for students in Pre-Kindergarten to 4th grade in the recently completed classroom addition of the North Campus of Prestonwood Baptist Church located at the intersection of Dallas Parkway and Prosper Trail.

The Christian education program at Prestonwood Christian Academy (PCA), Kingdom education, is one of the strongest in the country, providing intentional biblical worldview training and integration. Donna Gilson Leadford is an established educator with a passion for Christian education.  Mrs. Gilson Leadford returns to PCA from Oklahoma Christian School (OCS), Edmund OK, where she served as Elementary Principal. Under Mrs. Gilson Leadford’s leadership, OCS elementary school has grown over 30 percent within the past two years.  Immediately prior to Mrs. Gilson Leadford’s service with OCS, she served as PCA Lower School Principal June 2000 – June 2005.

Dr. Larry Taylor, Head of School for Prestonwood Christian Academy said, “We are excited to have Mrs. Gilson Leadford join us on this journey of faith as we begin a new school that will provide a Kingdom education to children in Prosper, Celina, North Frisco, McKinney, Little Elm and other communities in the U.S. Highway 380 corridor.”

Mrs. Gilson Leadford obtained a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Texas A&M – Commerce, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from East Texas Baptist University.
