This time of year, Santa is a busy guy. But he's still making time to read with Park Cities kids just a week out from Christmas Day (and of course, he's hanging out in the 'hood to hear some toy and gift requests!).

Make sure to stop into the Highland Park Library, University Park Public Library and Bookmarks at NorthPark Center over the next few days to see Ol' Saint Nick and enjoy some holiday stories:

Alphie the Elf at Bookmarks, NorthPark Center Presented by Margaret Clauder, check out this live show where a photo of Santa Claus talks, a doll comes to life, and a Christmas stocking has magical powers. It's a free event from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, and you can find out more here.

Christmas at the University Park Public Library - The library presents a special holiday-themed puppet storytime called "Spider's Christmas Surprise" by Sandy Shrout. The event is free and includes crafts and treats for everyone. It's from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21. Click here for more.

Santa Comes to the Highland Park Library - The man in the big red suit is stopping by the library twice this week—once for Baby Lapsit on Wednesday, Dec. 18 and then for Preschool Story Time on Friday, Dec. 20. Both appearances will be at 4:30 p.m. Cameras are encouraged; you're going to want to capture this moment! Click here for more information on Mr. Claus coming to the HP Library.

Santa Days at The Plaza at Preston Center - Okay, so he's not going to be reading to your little ones, but Dec. 21 is the last Saturday he'll be at the Plaza at Preston Center before heading back to the North Pole to pack up his sleigh for the voyage he'll make around the world Dec. 24. Snap some shots of the kids with Santa and live reindeer from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Saturday. Just remember to bring a donation for the North Texas Food Bank and the photo is free. Click here for more information.
