The Wylie P.O.L.I.C.E. (Practice of Leadership, Integrity, and Character Education) Club hosts its fifth annual Parents' Night Out. Parents are invited to drop their kindergarten through sixth grade youngsters at Cooper Junior High, where they will be entertained by members of the teen P.O.L.I.C.E. Club while parents take care of some Christmas shopping or just enjoy a night out.
Drinks and snacks will be provided, along with bounce houses, carnival-style games, a cake walk, crafts, a movie, and more. Space is limited to the first 200. Registration is required; sign up here https://www.eventbrite.com/e/parents-night-out-tickets-76787271797 or visit the P.O.L.I.C.E. Club page on the city website, WylieTexas.gov. Participation is open to all youngsters, including those not enrolled in a Wylie ISD campus.
Per-child cost is $12 plus a new, unwrapped toy for local underprivileged children. The $12 goes to the P.O.L.I.C.E. Club, whose members learn about law enforcement and support various events and causes in the Wylie community.
