Mayor Michael S. Rawlings, Trinity River Corridor Committee Chair Councilmember Vonciel Jones Hill, other City Council members, representatives from The Trinity Trust and Trinity Commons Foundation and the West Dallas Chamber of Commerce will flip the switch turning on the lights of the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, welcoming Dallas’ newest icon to the City’s skyline. The event begins at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10th. It will all take place on the west side of the Margaret Hunt Hil Bridge atop the levee.
The Trinity Trust will also announce exciting new details about the opening celebration, Bridging The Trinity For The Love Of The City, including headline musical artists and activities. The Trinity Commons Foundation will announce details of the annual Trinity River Levee Run, and Bridge-O-Rama organizers will reveal additional details about events that will take place in west Dallas; all during the weekend of March 2-4. The lights will stay lit for 14 days, and then be tested intermittently until the opening celebration March 2-4.
