Tootsies, located in the Plaza at Preston Center, will host the 1st Annual Stiletto Stampede presented by IdealHeel & NChantment and brought to you by FIAT on Saturday, March 3, 2012. Proceeds will benefit Komen Dallas County Affiliate and rehab programs developed by the Stiletto Stampede organization.”
The Stiletto Stampede for the Cure is a high heel 100-yard dash with a mission to encourage young women and men to understand the risks of breast cancer and empower them to prevent the disease by utilizing overall breast self-awareness through early detection and screening methods. This year’s event will compete for a Guinness Book of World Record for 1,000 persons in high heels.
The first 1,000 registrants will receive a commemorative pair of pink stilettos. The Nchantment Breast Cancer Awareness Shoe was created by Lauren Jones Footwear, designed by Nchantment Image Consultant Darla Parsons. All participants will receive a commemorative Guinness Book of World Records event medallion, race tank and a goodie bag stuffed with treasures.
Stiletto Stampede is in partner with Tootsies, Where Wear in the City and francisco+co.
Tootsies will also host a Stiletto Stampede Kickoff Party on Thursday, February 2nd from 6:30-8:30pm where all attendees can pre-register for the event or register online at www.StilettoStampede.org.
