UP Students watch the United Freestyle Stunt Team perform at UP Elementary’s Bike Rodeo

On Friday, September 11, University Park Elementary students strapped on their helmets and rolled their way to fun at the annual UP Bike Rodeo. First through fourth grade students had a blast riding through an entertaining and challenging obstacle course. After completing the course, students enjoyed a refreshing popsicle party while dancing to UP radio.

New this year, gently used bicycles will be collected for Spokes for Folks on Wednesday, September 16 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Spokes for Folks is a non-profit organization that refurbishes donated bicycles that are then given to children of families that could not otherwise afford them. Those interested in donating bikes that their children have outgrown should look for the UP donation station on the 3500 block of Amherst. For more information on Spokes for Folks, please visit www.spokesforfolks.org.
