Students Mikah Finley and Sofia Magennis join Maria Delgado, Alcuin School Performing Arts Teacher, during the Fall Festival.

It was a “bootiful” day for the Alcuin School Annual Fall Festival with more than 400 ghouls and goblins at this year’s “spooktacular” event on Oct. 25. The Middle School students led this school-wide effort by preparing, managing and staffing the entire festival for the Alcuin community. In addition to Head of School Walter Sorensen’s “World Famous Hot Dogs,” highlights included bounce houses, donut-eating contests, arts and crafts, spin-to-win games, and of course, the not-so scary “zombie” that made the festival a real “thriller!”

An enriched, nurturing, coeducational academic community, Alcuin School uses the Montessori and International Baccalaureate program methods to foster critical thinking and a lifelong passion for learning. With faculty support, students from Toddler to 12th grade at Alcuin School are eager to embrace change, question the status quo, and prepare for their future as leaders in a global society.
