RSVP today for one of the few remaining seats in Christine McKenny's school search lunch and learn!

For five years, Christine McKenny has helped home buyers find the necessary balance between a house they love and an education that works for them.

"In my role as a real estate agent in the Dallas area and Park Cities, I have been able to help families who are relocating with my first-hand knowledge about area public and private schools, as well as the private school application process," McKenny said.

As another way to help families find schools that work for their children, McKenny launched the "Navigating The School Search in Dallas" five years ago. The event, a luncheon and lecture, helps moms and dads ask the right questions during their search for the best private and public campuses and meet some of the admission directors of top area schools.

This year, McKenny has recruited Waverly Ware Wilson of Perfect Placement to speak at the Oct. 4 luncheon hosted by Neiman Marcus' cafe (formerly called the Zodiac Room) in NorthPark Center. Wilson, who is the former director of admissions and financial aid for the Greenhill School, will discuss:

  • How to choose a school for your child, whether public or private
  • Private school options
  • Private school admission processes from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Is there really financial aid and is it really confidential?

According to McKenny, the session most often sells out, so getting tickets in advance is a good bet.
