Wylie Recreation Center offers Spring Break camps March 9 - 12.

It’s not too early to plan activities to keep kids’ bodies moving and brains thinking during Wylie ISD’s spring break, scheduled for March 9 – 13, 2020. Wylie Recreation Center has a wide variety of camps planned; which ones will be the best match for your kids?

The following camps are offered from March 9 – 12.

Basketball Skills, 9 a.m. to noon, age 6 – 12, $99. Advance fundamentals with skill training, specialized drills, interactive games, and intense competitions. Learn techniques of shooting, passing, dribbling, and rebounding.

Ninja Escape, 1 to 4 p.m., age 6 – 12, $119. Conquer complex environments and obstacles by running, jumping, climbing, crawling, and vaulting safely.

Sloth Sewing, 9 a.m. to noon, age 8 – 16, $125 + $25 supply fee. Learn about sewing machines, thread, fabric, seams, and bobbins and make a sloth oven mitt, plush, lovie, and more. Bring sewing machine; a few are available upon request.

Lego Battle Bots, 9 a.m. to noon, age 8 – 14, $129. Code incredible Lego bots and battle peers. Work with a small group to uncover simple to complex coding and build a variety of bots. Bring a snack.

Cooking Craze – Fresh Flavors, 1 to 4 p.m., age 7 – 14, $129 + $20 supply fee. Discover kitchen safety and meal preparation, while studying international cuisine. Create recipes with local, seasonal fruits and vegetables.

The following Wylie Rec Staff-supervised pool trips to Epic Waters Waterpark take place on March 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. All kids should bring swimsuit, towel, and sunscreen. Transportation, light snacks, lunch, and refreshments provided.

Splash Dash, age 7 – 12, $45.

Tween Trip, age 13 – 15, $45.
