Are you looking for a little more kick in your morning smoothie? This Strawberry Smoothie with Green Tea is just what you need, you can enjoy this while the rest of the family has a Protein Smoothie for Kids. You’ll all start the day on the right foot, full of energy and a full belly!
We love making smoothies in the morning for breakfast, they’re really filling and they’re so easy to make. I don’t like to eat a lot before 10 AM, I’m just not a huge breakfast eater but these smoothies don’t really feel like I’m eating. It’s almost like a cup of coffee, but a lot better for me and they actually make me feel pretty good!
I love adding in the green tea, it just gives it a little extra in the flavor too! My youngest son will try and sneak a sip of these every time, he loves them too! I try to make sure they have the protein smoothie for kids but sometimes they want more of a fruit flavored smoothie, so we’ll make this without the green tea for them too.
How to make a Strawberry Smoothie with Green Tea
- 1 cup green tea, chilled
- 1/3 cup plain non-fat yogurt
- 1 cup Strawberries
- 1 large frozen banana
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/2 cup ice
- Place all of the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. You can modify this recipe to your preferences by using raspberries, blueberries or taking out the banana and just using ice. The possibilities are endless!
What types of smoothies do you make at home? I love hearing about new flavor combinations to make for myself and kids! We haven’t found a smoothie with spinach that we love yet if you have a recipe that you think is amazing let us know!
These also make a great afternoon snack when they get home from school along with Banana Fudge Popsicles!
