Need to get in a few reps? Want to be on TV? On Friday morning, ask "Day Break" anchor Ron Corning to spot you during the Get Kidz Fit Fest segment on WFAA Channel 8.

Get into your yoga pants and head over to Channel 8's Victory Plaza studio at 5:45 a.m. where "Day Break" will film a segment promoting the Mayor's Youth Fitness Initiative (MyFi) and the Get Kidz Fit Fest. Participants can park in Lot A at the American Airlines Center. To RSVP for the shoot, email ritacox_cc@earthlink.net.

Additionally, Get Kidz Fit Fest 2012 at the Dallas Market Hall will start at noon on Saturday. The event is a free, fun-filled afternoon of physical activity — from aerobics to Jazzercise to rock climbing to Zumba — and healthy information for children and their families to get moving and eat healthier.

This year, the Dallas Mayor’s Youth Fitness Initiative (MyFi) joins the active fun with the addition of the MyFi Family Fun Zone & Main Stage hosted by Radio Disney.

“MyFi is pleased to collaborate with Get Kidz Fit and its partners in creating this unique opportunity to promote positive nutrition and exercise habits,” said Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings. “We are optimistic that participants from across our community will pledge to adopt these behaviors and take steps toward building healthy, balanced and active lifestyles.”
