On Friday, April 20, The Friends of the Library Endowment Fund will host a "Literacy and the Library" event at Watters Creek in Allen.

The family-friendly event will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will include live music by The Twin Fiddles, book readings for children and presentations by Boy Scout Troop 131 and Girl Scout Troop 8550.

The Library Endowment Fund is designed to provide the Allen Public Library with funds to sustain its excellence in the Allen community.
