Alcuin School hosted its inaugural 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run at Trinity Skyline Trail adjacent to the new Continental Avenue Pedestrian Bridge overlooking downtown Dallas on Saturday, April 18. The event was chaired by Alcuin parent Brian Rogers.

The impressive turnout of participants enjoyed a morning of family-fun activities for all ages thanks to the support of student and parent volunteers.

Proceeds from the Alcuin 5K benefit Alex Podeszwa Legacy Fund.  Created in memory of Alex, an Alcuin student, who lost his 9 year battle with cancer in September 2014, the legacy fund will provide scholarship assistance and other endowment funding to enrich the lives of deserving students and enhance the programs that he loved so well during his time at Alcuin School.
